Welcome to Anthony Pym School of Motoring

I am based in the OSWESTRY and NEWTOWN areas and have been helping people from all walks of life learn to drive since the 1980s.

​

I am a fully qualified 'A' grade Approved Driving Instructor.

​

I have extensive experience in teaching pupils to drive. I have an automatic transmission car with some equipment to cater for those with special needs. 

​

I am a patient and an adaptable instructor. This enables my pupils to learn at their own pace in a safe and friendly environment.  The instructional techniques I use are varied according to the previous driving experiences of my pupils. A complete beginner will be guided through every detail of what is required.

I will help you increase your confidence behind the wheel at a pace that suits you and I am always ready to adapt my instruction to how you learn best.  For example, I am quite willing to repeat any explanations or use a completely different approach to achieve an objective.

​

I aim to conduct all lessons on a one-to-one basis and only call on the help of other colleagues in the event of sickness or some other unforeseen event. If  you would like a friend or relative to accompany you please discuss this with me and the appropriate arrangements can be made. This can be particularly helpful if you are also practising privately because specialist advice can be given to consolidate the issues discussed in the lessons.
